Abstract

Introduction: the viral meningoencephalitis constitutes a fundamental problem of morbimortality in Cuba and the world, its presentation varies according to the geographical localization and the station of the year influenced by climatic, ecological and epidemic factors.

Objective: to investigate the behavior of seasonality of the viral meningoencephalitis in Cuba.

Conclusions: the seasonality of the viral meningoencephalitis in Cuba follows a bimodal pattern, with greater incidence in rainy and hot seasons (mid-year), linked to arboviruses and enteroviruses.
