Abstract

A observational study of descriptive transversal type in the Neurology consultation of General Santiago Hospital between the years 2007-2009, in order to describe the morbidity of patients with movement disorders. The studio was formed by 175 patients. The results show that: the commonest entities were the Parkinson's disease, essential tremor and dystonias, with a start from the fifth-sixth decade of life, often in males, with predominance in mixed race persons, resting tremor and dysfunction in the reciprocal inhibition of agonist and antagonist muscles in the neurophysiology predominate.
