¿Is correct to call patient the autistic person?

Abstract

A consideration was carried out about foundations to assure autistic person as patient. Also is offered an overview of concepts and classifications, some pathogenically basis, generalities of clinical and neurobiological approach, prognosis of this mental health disorder, and the relevance of neuropsychological and sociocultural aspects. In conclusion, is correct the term patient for autistic person, although this term must be avoided if some segregate connotation of whatever nature is applied in some contexts.
